STATE POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT THAT ASSAULTED 68-YEAR-OLD WOMAN

State Police in Bridgeton are seeking the public’s help with identifying a man who they said forced his way into an Upper Deerfield Township home and assaulted the woman who lived there.

Authorities said on Tuesday, June 3rd shortly before 1pm,  the man forced his way through the rear door of a Landis Avenue home.  Once inside, police said the suspect  encountered the homeowner and demanded money. A brief struggled ensued before the man threw the 68-year-old woman to the floor. The woman  was able run from her home when the man went into another room according to authorities.

Police are describing the  suspect as a black male, around the ages of 20-30, 6-6’4”, 175-200 pounds with  black hair, and a black and grey goatee.Police believe that the suspect fled the scene possibly driving a tan or gold sedan. 

police said victim has not reported anything stolen at this time.
