The suspect appeared to make his move towards the woman but changed his attention span when he spotted a male driver pull his car out of the driveway then exit to close the gate.

The suspect sprinted towards the car that he ultimately entered and began to speed off according to witnesses who contacted RLS Metro Breaking News.

After seeing the suspect enter the car, the owner of the vehicle latched onto the vehicle in an attempt to get the suspect to stop.

Witnesses say the driver was able to -detach- jump off the car several houses down and did not suffer any physical injuries.

Witnesses told us that the stolen vehicle is a white 2015 Mercedez Benz ML400 with a reported Maryland license plate number "4DN-994."

We are asking residents to continue to report suspicious or out of placed individuals to police early and often. Newark Police officials continue their campaign where they encourage residents never to leave a vehicle running, even if it is for a second.

The suspect remains at-large.
