VIDEO: Elizabeth Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash

A 58-year-old motorcyclist from Elizabeth was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries Thursday morning following a crash in Linden.

According to authorities, at approximately 6:20 a.m. Linden Police and Fire units responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of East St. George Avenue and North Park Avenue.

Officials say based on initial reports, a 2013 Dodge Charger - driven by a 26-year-old man Elizabeth man - was traveling north on North Park Avenue when he attempted to make a left turn onto East St. George Avenue when he collided with a 2013 Triumph motorcycle that was traveling south on North Park Avenue across East St. George Avenue.

 

Police say the driver of the motorcycle, was transported to Newark University Hospital suffering severe injuries but the driver of the car was unharmed.

 

The crash remains under investigation by the Linden Police Department Traffic Bureau.
