The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office are assisting in the investigation into a shooting that fatally injured a man in Jersey City Monday evening.
According to police, at approximately 6:15 p.m., gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Martin Luther King Driver and Myrtle Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found an unidentified male suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and remained in severe condition until being pronounced dead a short time later, according to authorities.
The deadly shooting makes it the fourth homicide in Jersey City in just over a week
The motive for the shooting has not been determined at this time.
