UPDATE: Students Convert Shipping Containers into Temporary Housing at Newark's Central High School

The Honorable Mayor Ras J. Baraka and Newark Public School's Superintendent Christopher Cerf attended a ribbon cutting ceremony that took place at the Newark Central High School where several students assisted in converting shipping containers into temporary housing.

The 11 a.m. ceremony was attended by representatives from the H.I.H (Help in a Hurry), The Joseph Jingoli and Son Company, several dozen community leaders, students, faculty and staff members.

Educator, Mr. Naseed Gifted, served as one of the Central High School coordinators for the endeavor.

Ishmael Jalloh, Federick Jean-Jacques, Joseph Marshall, and Saleem Bush are the students who committed excellence to the project.
