Police in Newark seeks the public’s help in locating Mr. Ivan Malave-Rivera, 47, of Newark, who they say is wanted for an aggravated assault shooting that occurred on Saturday, April 21, 2018.
According to police, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of 1st Street on a shot fired call.
Police say during their search of the area, they recovered several at that location.
Detectives investigating this incident developed sufficient evidence to identify Malave-Rivera as a suspect in this incident and obtained a warrant for his arrest on charges of Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Possession of a Weapon by Certain Persons according to police.
