A FedEx truck struck a pedestrian and police responded to the crash at the area of Black Oak Ridge Road and Route 23 North at approximately 9:47 am on October 3, officials say.
According to officials, Mr. Douglas Dow, 44, from Cedar Grove was the driver of the FedEx truck.
Officials say Dow stayed at the site of the crash, officials report.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries, and medical personnel transported them to St. Joseph's University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:24 am, according to officials.
No charges have been filed at this time, however this investigation remains active and ongoing.
