UPDATE: Newark Armed Carjacking Victim Pistol Whipped then Forced to Withdraw Money From ATM

Police officials in Newark request the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect wanted in a carjacking that occurred on Sunday, July 7th in Newark’s South Ward.

Police say in the incident, the victim was carjacked by three suspects, two males and a female while driving a 4-door 2010 Pontiac Vide in the area of Cypress Street near South 20th Street.

According to police, the victim was struck by one of the suspects with a silver handgun and one of the male suspects was captured by surveillance cameras escorting the victim to withdraw money from his account at an ATM.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, we seek the public’s help in quickly identifying him so that he can be removed from our streets.
