An altercation inside an Elizabeth diner ended with shots fired early Saturday morning.
According to authorities, at 2:54 a.m., there was an altercation inside the Tropicana Diner, located in the 500 block of Morris Avenue.
Officials say several males moved the altercation outside, where witnesses say shots were fired.
Police say detectives investigating the incident recovered a shell casing at the scene but no one was injured.
The incident is under an active investigation.
