UPDATE: Authorities ID Man Fatally Shot More Than a Half Dozen Times in Camden

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson are investigating a shooting that killed a 36-year-old Camden man early this morning.

According to authorities, police responded to a ShotSpotter activation near the 1200 block of Thurman Street in Camden at approximately 2:21 a.m.

When officers arrived they located the victim, Andrew Stanley, 36, of Camden, on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officials say Stanley was transported to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at approximately 2:45 a.m.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
