Newark --- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert D. Laurino and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers announced today that the Irvington Police and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating a double shooting that resulted in one death.
According to police two women were shot at a residence on Berkeley Terrace.
Police say, Ms. Adrianna Rodriguez, 27, of Newark died from her injuries while a second woman suffered critical injuries.
Police arrested Euclide D. Valerio-Guzman, 42, of Irvington then charged him with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons charges.
These are accusations.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
The investigation is active and ongoing. No other information is available at this time.
