Police have a crime scene established in the 500 block of Ocean Avenue as they investigate a shooting that sent one person to the hospital this evening.
Gunfire erupted in the 500 block of Ocean Avenue at around 7:45 p.m. sending police to the scene where they found the victim struck twice by bullets at that location.
The victim was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center suffering serious injuries.
The motive for the shooting is unknown.
There have been no arrests reported.
