Police in the region has stepped up patrols near gas stations and businesses after dangerous armed men targeted two gas stations on Route 22 in Hillside Sunday afternoon.
It happened at approximately 3:15 p.m. when suspects occupying a silver-colored Jeep arrived at the Express gas station located at 119 Route 22 armed with guns and wearing masks. The men pointed the gun at employees and demanded cash before speeding away from the scene.
While police were checking out the Express station robbery, armed men fitting the same description robbed the Conoco gas station located at 231 Route 22.
The suspects were only described as two black males and are considered armed and dangerous.
There were no physical injuries reported.
