There is an active search underway for suspects who robbed then violently stabbed a woman in Newark's Ironbound section Sunday morning.
Police say the early morning encounter happened just before 1:10 a.m. in the 60's block of Gotthardt Street.
According to police, Several suspects, armed with a gun, exited a four-door white vehicle and confronted a woman then demanded person possessions. Police say one of the suspects then stabbed the woman shortly before running away from the scene.
EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital in stable condition.
Police believe the same suspects are wanted for a carjacking out of Woodbridge and used the 2015 BMW during the attack. According to reports, the license plate number of the car is "C95-LVH".
The suspects remain at-large.
