UPDATE: Suspect Sought for Firing Shots at Vehicle in Newark's South Ward

Police in Newark are looking vehicle occupied by a male wanted in an investigation of a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday.

According to a statement released by Newark Police, at approximately 10:04 a.m., Major Crimes Shooting Response Team detectives responded to a shooting incident that occurred in the 600 block of Clinton Avenue.

Officials say police developed information that the vehicle in the photo, a silver 2016 Nissan Rogue, NJ registration X33-JWL, and its occupants were possibly involved in this incident.

Newark detectives seek the identity of the male who police say fired shots at another vehicle near South 11th Street and Clinton Avenue.

While police are actively searching for the vehicle and suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing it and its occupants from Newark streets.
