Surveillance Video of Shooting That Critically Injured Newark Man Outside Linden TGI Fridays Released

The Linden Police Department has released surveillance footage of the moments before and after last month’s shooting outside the TGI Fridays.

According to police, at about 11:15 p.m. on November 25th, officers responded to the area of T.G.I.Fridays, 400 South Park Avenue for reports of a shooting.

Officers located the victim, a 44-year-old Newark man, in the parking lot. He was transported to the Hospital with serious injuries.

Detectives believe that the suspect, described as a light-skinned black male with long dreadlocks, entered the parking lot in a black sedan at approximately 11:11 p.m. The suspect then exited the vehicle, approached the victim, and shot him several times in the torso from close range.

The suspect returned to the vehicle and exited the parking lot onto S. Park Avenue in the sedan with the headlights off.

The victim remains in critical but stable condition.
