State officials announced that a major roadway between Newark and Kearny will be closed over the weekend for repairs.
According to State transportation officials, Route 1&9 truck lanes will be closed for repairs to the lift bridge over the Passaic River.
The closure will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and last until 5 a.m. Monday.
Detours will be in place for local traffic and for traffic coming from the New Jersey Turnpike at Exit 15-E.
The state Department of Transportation has published a list of detours caused by the closure.
