Non-Life Threatening Injuries Reported for Victim Struck by Car on I-78 in Newark

NJ State Police and Newark authorities are investgiating a pedestrian strike that occurred on a NJ highway that sent one person to the hospital during the overnight hours.

According to preliminary reports, emergency responders rushed to the Frontage Road exit of I-78 in Newark to investigate reports of a pedestrian strike that occurred at that location.

Police and EMS arrived at the scene to find the conscious victim suffering non-life threatening injuries according to reports.

The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment.

It is not immediately clear while the victim was on the highway at this time.

The investigation is active and ongoing according to police.
