Search Underway for Missing 71-Year-Old Newark Woman UPDATE 9:39 AM FOUND SAFE!! (yes!)

Police in Newark requests the public’s help in locating Ms. Annie Leake, 71, of Newark who was reported missing Thursday.

According to police, at approximately 6 p.m., Ms. Leake was reported missing from the area of Georgia King Village.

Police say, Ms. Leake, who suffers from dementia, is described as 5’5” tall, 200 lbs. with a dark brown complexion.

Ms. Leake has dark brown hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a dark blue coat, sweat pants and gray shoes according to police.

Police say while police are actively searching for Ms. Leake, they ask the public’s assistance in quickly locating her and returning her to her family.
