Newark East Ward Woman Now Missing for More than Two Months

Police in Newark continue to request the public’s assistance in locating Ms. Elvira Marques, 53, of Newark, who went missing on Wednesday, June 13th from the city’s East Ward.

Police say Ms. Marques was last seen at approximately 6 a.m. on Monday, June 11th in the area of South and Broad streets.

According to authorities, Marques is approximately 140-150 lbs., and 5’6” tall.

She has brown eyes and black hair worn in a bob-cut style. She also has a tattoo on her left arm police said.

Police say Marques wore blue jeans when she was last seen.

While police are actively searching for Ms. Marques, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and returning her to her family.
