Pedestrian Injured in Elizabeth Hit-and-Run

A 31-year-old resident was rushed to an area hospital after he was struck and injured by a car that fled the scene Saturday.

Officials say the incident occurred Saturday at approximately 1:53 a.m. in the 300 block of North Broad Street.

According to authorities, a dark gray, 4-door vehicle struck the 31-year-old resident then sped away from the scene.

EMS transported the victim to University Hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should contact the Accident Investigation Bureau at (908) 558-2066.
