An alleged home invader is in custody after he reportedly broke into a Hackensack home this morning and tried to get into the shower with one of two females that were inside the home.
According to initial reports, the New York man broke into the First Street home shortly before 8:20 am this morning.
Reports said, inside the home was a 16-year-old girl, her baby nephew, and her 21-year-old sister.
The teen was reportedly watching her nephew while her sister showered when she allegedly saw her sister run into the bedroom in her towel saying that there was a man in the home.
Both sisters and the baby hid in the locked bedroom until police arrived.
The intruder began washing dishes in the kitchen and claimed to be a caretaker before police arrived and took him into custody.
There were no injuries reported.
The incident is under investigation.
