Newark Police Search for Man Wanted for Aggravated Assault

Police officials in Newark are reporting that they issued a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Anthony Quintana, 52, of Newark, in connection with an incident that occurred on Tuesday, May 29th.

According to a statement released by police, at approximately 11:20 a.m., a man found stabbed in the 100-block of Pennsylvania Avenue is believed to have started from following a quarrel that involved the suspect.

Police say the victim arrived at University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries then released by doctors.

Detectives investigating this incident say they have identified Anthony Quintana as a suspect in this incident and secured a warrant for his arrest on a charge of aggravated assault.

Police say Quintana is described as 5’3” tall, 160 lbs. and has a bald head.

Quintana is medium to fair complexioned with brown eyes and also has a tattoo on his left arm of a rose with a knife.

The charges lodged against Mr. Quintana are mere accusations. He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law when he is captured or surrenders to Newark Police.
