A late night shooting in Irvington is under investigation.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of 40th Street and Springfield Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. where officers arrived to find a male victim struck by gunfire at that location according to reports.
The victim was transported to University Hospital where is injuries were not fatal authorities said.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
