Authorities have identified man killed early this morning in a single-vehicle crash in Jersey City.
The crash that happened on Rt. 1&9 and the Hackensack Bridge sent police and rescue crews to the scene at approximately 2:45 a.m.
First responders arrived to the scene to find a car crashed to into a pole with the driver -later identified as Shyheem Anderson, 27, of Jersey City - trapped inside.
After Anderson was extricated from the vehicle, he was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
Anderson was pronounced dead at 3:46 a.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
