Police in Newark are investigating a crash that involved a police car and a mini-bus that occurred early this morning in the city's West Ward.
The crash happened at the intersection of West End Avenue and South Orange Avenue when the two vehicles collided, causing the police car to ignite in flames according to reports.
Two police officers were transported to University Hospital for evaluations.
The extent of injuries to the bus driver or any occupants on the bus is unknown.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
