Plainfield Police Announce "Project Medicine Drop"

The Plainfield Police Division is proud to announce that it has joined the New Jersey Attorney General’s “Project Medicine Drop” initiative and has installed a Project Medicine Drop box at police headquarters.

The Divisions new Project Medicine Drop Box is located at in the lobby of the Plainfield Police Division, 200 East Fourth Street, Plainfield, New Jersey.

Through this initiative, the State Division of Consumer Affairs installs secure “prescription drug drop boxes” at police departments, sheriff’s offices, and State Police barracks across New Jersey, allowing citizens to safely dispose of their unused, excess, or expired prescription medications.

Residents may visit the Plainfield Police Division at any time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, to dispose of their unused or excess medications. Pills, capsules, patches and pet medications can be accepted in the box.

The medication can be dropped in their packaging.

Liquids, needles, and syringes cannot be placed in the box.

We encourage all residents to utilize this site to dispose of your unused or unwanted medications in this safe and efficient manner.
