Passaic County Technical-Vocational Institute Hosts First Of It’s Kind “Wreaths Across America” Mobile Exhibit

Paterson

Passaic County Technical Vocational School District, which includes PCTI and the Diana C. Lobosco STEM Academy hosted the first of its kind “Wreaths Across America” Educational Trailer campus throughout the day for students, faculty and numerous veterans in the area.

The event, spearheaded by retired history instructor Ms. Cathy Pagano, opened with remarks from Board of Education President Al Alexander and Superintendent Diana C. Lobosco then featured the school’s NJROTC, Vocal Ensemble and Students.

According to Passaic County Technical-Vocation Institue officials, the “Wreaths Across America” Educational Trailer makes limited visitations across the United States to promote its patriotic mission, and we are honored that Passaic County Technical Institute has been selected due to our strong patriotic culture throughout the years.

Officials say Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization and expands the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery as well as 1600 other cemeteries across the country to honor our country’s veterans.

School officials say following the opening ceremony, over 400 student visitations have been planned throughout the day where students will tour the exhibit and participate in wreath making activities.

Representatives from the “Wreaths Across America” organization will also be present for this first time event, as well as numerous area Veterans!

Several Vietnam Vets were honored today and officials say the Wreath-laying day is scheduled to take place on December 14th at all veterans cemeteries identified in the country.

Vietnam Vets were presented with tokens today to formally say “Welcome Home”, since they were not given that courtesy upon the ending of the Vietnam War and return to US soil.
