Newark Police Seek the Public's Help Identifying Gas Station Robbery Suspects

Police in Newark seeks the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a gas station robbery that occurred Friday night.

According to police at approximately 11 p.m., two black male suspects entered the Exxon Gas Station located at 397 Springfield Avenue and robbed the attendant at gunpoint.

Police said the first suspect is described as having a thin build, mustache and wore a black hooded sweater with a design, blue jeans, and blue sneakers.

The remaining suspect has a stocky build and also has a mustache police said. This suspect wore a black hooded sweater, gray sweatpants, with a black stripe on the side, and white sneakers.

Both men fled in a late model 4-door sedan.

It is not clear if the suspects are wanted for about two other overnight gas station robberies that occurred in the city.

While police are actively searching for these suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from city streets.

The investigation is continuing.
