The 3rd Annual Monte Irvin Wood Bat Classic held this week's in Orange had the city's Monty Irvin Giants crowned victorious for the second consecutive season.
The Giants defeated the visiting Jersey Sharks by a score of 8-5 to take the championship.
Teams from around the region including Camden, Newark, Philly, Montclair-Bloomfield, and Jersey City participated in the tournament that began on Friday.
The Monte Irvin Giants defeated the Montclair-Bloomfield Republic Record team by a score of 7-5 to advance to the championship round.
