East Orange authorities are continuing to investigate an overnight robbery that occurred in a neighborhood in the city.
Police requested a crime scene unit in the vicinity of 189 North 16th Street after they located several items taken during a robbery that happened shortly before midnight.
The victim reported to police that an unknown assailant approached then robbed them of cell phones.
Police reportedly detained male suspects but there were no official reports of an arrest.
There were no physical injuries reported.
