No Suspicious Activities in Death of Person Found Near Vacant Newark Property Police say

Authorities are reporting that there were no suspicious activities after police found the body of an unidentified person near a vacant property in Newark Friday night.

According to preliminary reports, police were called to the property near the rear of the C-Town Supermarket, in the 100 block of Clinton Avenue, at approximately 9 p.m. to investigate reports of an injured person.

Upon their arrival, they found the unconscious and unresponsive person at that location.

Medical personnel pronounced the person dead at the scene.

Police are attempting to determine the next of kin of the unidentified person.

Authorities also said the body of a person found on Winans Avenue in the city’s South Ward Friday morning is under investigations but is not believed to be suspicious at this time.
