Newark Woman’s Sales of Self-Made Designer Face Masks a NJ Hit

Newark

When Newark New Jersey resident Inezz Jones became aware of Surgeon General Jerome Michael Adams’ recommendation for the wearing of face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic, she used her talent to begin the process of helping out by using her own talent to assist others.

Jones, a life-long resident of Newark, started off only making face masks for family members in her spare time to keep relatives safe from the deadly coronavirus pandemic that has claimed the lives of over 7910 residents in NJ and infected over 128,000 in the state since March.

Jones used the isolated time with her mother Laura, daughters Brittney and Makayla to initiate her craft of sewing.

Within several weeks, she branched off on her own forming DezignzbyNez.

Jones said as the need for masks grew, she began to provide some of the items to the homeless then sell the remainders to help business associates and friends.

”During this deadly global pandemic, we are all asked to do our best with wearing masks to protect ourselves.

While doing your best to stay safe I encourage you to continue to look your absolute best by purchasing one of our traditional and designer masks that's stylish and affordable.

Our cloth masks are made with protected filters and are on sale as following 1 for 10$ and 3 for 25$” Jones said.

Jones said her customized masks start at $20 and up.

”We encourage all to stay safe, practice social distancing and remember you can still look good when doing it,” Jones said.
