Authorities Arrest Manville Man for Alleged Sex Crimes

SOMERVILLE, N.J. – Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor announced the arrest of Cornelio Felipe-Lopez, 22, of Manville.

Prosecutor Robertson stated that on April 27th, a 12-year-old female told detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit that she was sexually assaulted on three occasions in 2017, by defendant Felipe-Lopez while residing in Raritan Borough.

According to authorities, on June 21st, detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit and Special Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation located the defendant at his residence on North 4th Avenue in Manville N.J.

Police transported Felipe-Lopez to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office in Somerville and subsequently arrested him without incident.

Police charged Felipe-Lopez with 1st-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault and 3rd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
