Vineland Man Shot, Killed in Apparent Home Invasion Identified

Authorities have released the identity of a 24-year-old man shot and killed Wednesday morning during what appears to be a home invasion.

According to authorities, police responded to the 500 block of Foster Avenue early this morning where multiple individuals appear to have forced their way into the home and shot Amir El-Basirbey, 24, of East Oak Street in Vineland.

According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, the individuals fled the scene and have not been identified.

Investigators from both the Vineland Police Department and Cumberland County Prosecutor Offices's Major Crime Unit are Investigating the shooting.
