The Linden Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a male wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a local 7-Eleven earlier this month.
According to police, on Dec. 2nd at about 9:45 a.m. the suspect entered the 7-Eleven store located at 2309 E. Edgar Road and handed the cashier a note demanding money while producing a black handgun from his pocket.
The cashier turned over nearly $600 in cash to the suspect, who fled the scene toward Elizabeth in a Ford Crown Victoria
Taxi Cab.
The suspect is described as light-skinned black man approx. 5’8” – 6’ tall wearing khaki pants, a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the chest and arms, a black hat with the word "Zity" on it, and black/white sneakers.
