Images Released of Males Wanted for Questioning in Newark Shooting

Newark Police officials seek the public’s assistance in identifying several suspects wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, September 27th.

According to a statement released by Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose shortly after 10 p.m., police responded to the 100-block of Pennsylvania Avenue to a call of shots fired.

Director Ambrose said two men approached a man and woman, asked them where they could purchase drugs then began to fire round at the pair at point blank range.

The suspects then fled onto Emmet Street Director Ambrose said.

While police are actively searching for these suspects, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from city streets.

Director Ambrose said this investigation is continuing.

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
