Archdiocese official confirmed that two priests involved in separate sexual misconduct allegations have left their parishes in Hudson and Bergen counties.
According to officials, Rev. Gerard Sudol - accused of sexually abusing an altar boy while being assigned to a church in Ridgefield Park in the 1980’s and 1990’s - stepped down from his post as a priest at Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Church in Jersey City, last week.
While, Rev. Jim Weiner, pastor of St. Andrew's Church in Westwood, will also step aside from his post, after being accused of sexually assaulting a seminarian in the 1980s.
Authorities say both recently agreed to leave while they await the results of the aforementioned accusation.
