An early morning fire that broke out inside a large bakery in Harrison is under investigation by fire officials.
Firefighters were called to the Pechter's Baking Company located in the 800 block of Jersey Street after they received calls for a fire shortly before 2:30 a.m.

Crews arrived at the scene and observed heavy smoke coming from the roof of one of the builds at that location.
Firefighters isolated the fire to one of the establishment's ovens and were able to extinguish the blaze in under an hour.
There were no injuries reported, but the fire caused damage to a portion of the building according to officials.
Kearny and East Newark provided mutual assistance during the fire.
