BREAKING PATERSON NJ: Gunman Fired Nearly a Dozen Rounds on Street in Paterson; House Struck, Windows Blown Out by Bullets

Police are on the scene of a shots fired investigation with confirmed property damage in a neighborhood in Paterson at this time.

Rapid gunfire erupted in the 30's block of North 3rd Street sending police the scene where they found 11 shell casings and two homes struck by bullets just before 5:30 p.m. according to police.

Police carefully canvassed the area for injuries, but there were no reports of victims.

Officers checking the area found a window blown out by a bullet in the 90's block of 90's block and a home in the 30's block penetrated by gunfire according to police.

Police have Cliff Street closed for the investigation as authorities found shell casings there as well.

The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
