Officials in Newark has confirmed that a shots fired incident which occurred on a street in the city did not result in injuries.
According to police, gunfire erupted in the 900 block of South 18th Street before 8 a.m. sending officers to the scene where they found evidence that a shooting occurred at that location.
Police taped off Clinton Avenue to Hopkins Place from 18th Street where they collected evidence and checked surveillance cameras in an effort to find who fired the shots.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
