Union County authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at a gentleman's club in Elizabeth overnight.
According to a preliminary investigation, one person was pronounced dead while a second victim suffered non-life threatening injuries during the incident that occurred at the Exotics Gentleman's Club located in the 1100 block of Elizabeth Avenue just before 2:30 a.m.
Witnesses told RLS Metro Breaking News that a physical altercation broke out inside the club, as soon as the lights were turned on, to end the night causing the crowd to spill out onto the street.
While on the large crown were on the street, witnesses say multiple rounds of gunfire rang out causing club patrons to retreat inside the club swiftly.
Police arrived at the scene and found the victim lying inside the parking lot unconscious and unresponsive suffering from gunshot wounds according to reports.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. The name of the victims have not been released at this time.
