Newark Men Charged with Breaking in Fair Lawn Woman's House, Sexually Assaulting Her

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of 21-year-old **EUGENY CANGO** of Crittenden Street, Newark and **DANIEL AMADOR**, Wakem Avenue, Newark in connection with the burglary of a residence in Fair Lawn and the sexual assault of an adult female resident.

Authorities said also arrested was 19-year-old **ANGEL LUIS VEGA**, North 9th Street, Newark, in connection with the burglary of the residence.

Police said the arrests came about as the result of joint investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutors Office Special Victims Unit the Fair Lawn Police Department.

According to police, at around 3:13 a.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016, the Fair Lawn Police Department received a 911 call reporting an unknown male in a residence.

Fair Lawn Police Department responded to the residence and found Cango, Amador, and Vega inside the residence authorities said.

The three men were detained and transported to the Fair Lawn Police Department.

According to police, a victim reported to them that the three men broke into her home and two of them sexually assaulted her.

The Fair Lawn Police Department notified the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Special Victims Unit and a joint investigation ensued.

As a result of the investigation, Candor and Amador were both arrested and were each charged with the following crimes: Aggravated Sexual Assault with a weapon, 2C:14-2a(4), a 1st degree crime; Aggravated Sexual Assault during the commission of a Burglary, 2C:14-2a(3), a 1st degree crime; Aggravated Sexual Assault with a Co-Defendant, 2C:14-2a(5) a 1st degree crime; Burglary with a weapon, 2C:18-2b(2), a 2nd degree crime; Terroristic Threats, 2C:12-3, a 3rd degree crime; and Possession of a Weapon with Unlawful Purpose, 2C:39-4d, a 4th degree crime.

The Honorable Ronny Siegal, J.S.C., of the Bergen County Superior Court set bail for both at $525,000.00 with no 10 percent option. Eugeny CANGO and Daniel AMADOR are to have no contact with the victim or her family, must surrender passports, and possess no weapons as conditions of bail.

The men were remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.

They are scheduled to make their first appearance on October 7, 2016 at 8:30 AM in Central Judicial Processing Court.

Police said Vega was charged with Burglary, 2C:18-2a(1), a 3rd degree crime, and was released on a summons.

He is also scheduled for his first appearance on October 7, 2016 at 8:30 AM in Central Judicial Processing Court.

**Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and wishes to thank the Fair Lawn Police Department for their assistance.**
