Police are on the scene of a shooting with a male victim down in a neighborhood in Newark's South Ward at this time.
Gunfire erupted in the 300 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard at around 7:25 p.m. sending police to the scene where they found the unidentified unconscious victim.
There is a crime scene established and investigation underway.
