There is an active investigation into an incident that has several police units on Bloomfield Avenue surrounding a vehicle that's stained with a significant amount of blood.
According to preliminary reports, Montclair Police officers set up a crime scene around a vehicle sometime overnight where they found blood stains on the inside of the car and bloody handprints on the outside near the old Lackawanna Train station -Pathmark shopping center-.
It is not immediately confirmed if the incident is the result of a stabbing or shooting at this time.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office has not been called to the scene as of 6:33 a.m. according to a spokesperson.
