According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of the ’old’ Jimmie Buff restaurant and the Reservoir apartment complex at approximately 6:30 p.m.
EMS has been requested on a rush as police attempt to monitor a crowd that has formed near the shooting scene.
Officers on routine patrol in the West Ward community heard gunfire then found a man suffering bullet wounds after a gunman opened fire on him at that location.
This shooting brings the total of victims injured by gunfire to six with five victims shot about an hour ago in the North Ward.
Please avoid the area to allow for the police investigation.
