The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Major Task for are looking into an incident where a woman was found dead in a neighborhood in Irvington this morning -Thursday-.
Authorities would only confirm that the investigation into the what caused the unidentified woman’s death will be determined by the State Regional Medical Examiner's Office but the task force is looking into it as a possible homicide at this time.
Residents in the tight-knit community of Krotik Place -near Chancellor Avenue- said police and emergency responders arrived in the area before 10 am and began to tape the area off after they were informed that a body was the subject of an investigation.
Authorities from the Prosecutor's Office said the investigation is in its early stages and more information will be put out when it becomes available.
