Clark, Irvington Police Pursuit of Burglary Suspects Ends in Newark

A set of alleged car burglary suspects were chased by police from a Clark neighborhood this morning.

According to a statement released by Clark Police, patrol units located two stolen vehicles occupied by male suspects who were entering unlocked vehicles in the area of Garside and Kenneth Place.

Police say the suspects also used the garage door remote that was left in one of the vehicles to enter a garage.

Police spotted the pair who then sped away from the scene leading patrol units on a pursuit that ended near exit 139 on the Garden State Parkway where authorities said they terminated the pursuit.

According to reports, police from Irvington located one of the vehicles on Lyons Avenue and picked up on the pursuit that ended in the vicinity of Lyons and Aldine in Newark where officers lost visual sight of the car.

Police in Clark are reminding residents to lock their car doors and do not leave valuables in your vehicles.
