Authorities ID Alleged Shooter That Injured Camden Officer

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a Camden County Police Officer was shot and injured on last night.

Police arrested Delronn Mahan, 19, of Lindenwold, and charged him with first degree Attempted Murder, second degree Aggravated Assault, third degree Aggravated Assault, second degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, second degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, third degree Resisting Arrest, and second degree Certain Persons Not to Have Weapons.

A judge ordered Mahan to be remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing.

Under the recent Criminal Justice Reform rules, the court may order they be detained without bail or released with conditions.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
