BREAKING PLAINFIELD NJ: Crash Leaves Multiple Victims Injured in Plainfield

There are a host of emergency responders and police personnel on the scene of a two-car crash with about a half dozen people injured at this time in Plainfield.

According to preliminary reports, police were called to the intersection of Putnam Avenue and Richmond Street for a crash with injuries reported at around 4:15 p.m.

Units arriving at the scene found two vehicles involved in the crash with several people trapped at that location.

There were just over a half dozen injuries reported with at least two of the victims suffering severe injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

UPDATE 4:59 Plainfield PD: At approximately 4:15 PM, Plainfield Police Units responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash in the area of Putnam Avenue and Richmond Street.

There were six individuals injured with ages ranging from mid twenties to mid fifties.

The most serious injury reported at this time is to an occupant with facial trauma and another occupant with a serious leg injury.

There were no pedestrians or children involved. All injured occupants are being transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash is presently under investigation by the Plainfield Police Traffic Unit.
